Ok, so decided to take the car for a maiden voyage. Did fine accelerating. When I went to stop, I put it in neutral, its a auto 2g awd, the idle shot up to 3k. It would not come back down. When I put it back into drive it was a very hard transition. I'm pretty the vibration is from rusted brake and steering components. Whats the thought on the idle? Thanks:)

Throttle cable was the culprit. Will adjust tomorrow. I'm nervous as can be about the vibration. It almost felt like the wheel was about to jerk out of my hands. I'm hoping something simple but dsm so...

For sure man. Tomorrow I'm going to try and swap everything over from my 1g. Just need to find the fittings that will work on it.

I've got the idle fixed. I put the car on jack stands to try and isolate the problem. It has a loud knock coming from the drivers front wheel. Checked the engine, nothing. Also, the drivers rear tire is bent like crazy. I've never lifted a car like that and pretend to drive LOL. Its a scary feeling thinking it might fall or something LOL.

Well, lifting the car onto jackstands, it is a complete cf. I've never seen so much rust on a car. I'm debating whether pursuing to get this car running right now. Its bad....

Hey ya'll:) Got some good time in on the car today. Got my wheels off. The drivers front, the one the knock was coming from was missing a bolt on the brake caliper. New bolts, and new brakes, no more knock!! Very happy it was something easy. I have to figure out how to put a boot on the axle. The one on there now is ripped. Also was able to get some rustoleum on the areas that were looking rough. It looks much much better now. One last question for today, are there any good videos on changing the fluids in the transfer case and rear differential? I've never done it before and want to make sure I don't jack it up. Thanks guys. Also, will hopefully remember to get new pictures up.
