I cant get a steady idle. Checked ISC,tried adjusting BISS, nothing.
Also in closed loop, how come my O2 sensor doesnt cycle? Its a brand new sensor.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Yes, follow the link for checking for idle surge as posted above, also your ISC sensor is not doing anything. ISCposition does not move from 0. You already have it simulated from TPS which is good. Make sure to check and double check for boost leaks. Even if you recently checked, check again. There is always a good chance there is a somewhat large leak and you will not notice it until doing a BLT.

So what causes the isc not to move?
Either bad isc or bad isc driver in ecu?

Thanks

Test the ISC first before pulling the ECU to look at the drivers.
DmTaLoN's Idle Speed Control Test/Fix Page!

What wire did you tap the wideband into (just making sure you didn't tap anything into the front o2 sensor input)?

Are you making sure he didn't tap the front o2 b/c he doesn't have the wideband simulated? I'm assuming he has it tapped into the EGR pin since that is what he marked it as... but you never know.

i will test isc again. I am running 91-94 in a 90ecu,maybe thats it???

wideband is wired to egr temp as per ecmlink wiki.

what about the o2 sensor not cycling up and down?

OK so we are getting somewhere.
I decided to try my 90 isc and low and behold car idles great. Is the wiring different for 91 isc's or maybe the isc is bad after all.

O2 is cycling up and down now. I think my combinedft and airflowperrev is ok now?
any suggestions?

thanks

That looks like a damn nice idle to me. Your TPS needs to be adjusted. The TPS volts are way too low. I would adjust the TPS manually first, then use the TPS adjust tool in Link. TPS volts should be at .63 at when you are at 0% throttle position. Other than that though your idle looks very good. :thumb: Also I'm not sure if the 90 and 91 ISC's are different. I would just stick with the 90 since that seems to be working for you.

Thanks!

What is the result of a properly adjusted tps? Better idle? Better airflow compensation?

The TPS value needs to be at .63v when at 0% throttle and above 4.6v when at full throttle. If its not correct your other values could be off, fuel timing, etc... Changing it from .32 or whatever volts your is at now, to .63v probably won't affect your idle at all but when your at WOT the TPS needs to be higher than 4.6 if it's not it could mess up your other settings.

Thanks.
I tried adjusting the tps manually as per vfaq, but my meter only showed 1 ohm between the pins?
Not sure if I'm doing it right?

Just fire up link, then turn the key to the on position and connect . then you can adjust the TPS volts to .63 by hand while watching the log.

Would you know why my wideband guage is reading 5-6 points leaner than my logged wideband?

That's what I had guessed before even typing my previous response :)

Did you reprogram it to have the same output as the brown wire? The brown wire from the factory is the wideband output (0-5v), however the yellow wire is for narrowband simulation (0-1v). Download the LM Programmer software from here and follow the instructions on how to reprogram it.

I will try reprogramming the analog outputs to the tech edge values.

The mtx and lc1 have the same analog output values so it should be the same I'm guessing.
