my 1991 eagle talon is a 5 speed and im having an idiling issue. when i turn the car on its ok . when i put it in gear and start to go, when i slow down or go in neutral or even shift the rpms go up and down quickly between 1500-2000 rpms. this isnt normal i dont think. i was think the tps, or the ais (automatic idle sensor) they both are located on the throttle body. there is a wire kind of on top of the throttle body that is cracked open and u can bend it and stuff. if any one has any info let me know. thanks

what ur talkin about is the sensor that controls the rpm, and what could be wrong w/ that is that it could be old and worn out. once this occurs, ur rpms decide to drop outta no where and ur car acts like it wants to shut off. in my case, it often did shut off. now, my initial suggestion is to try other things first, like puttin sum stp fuel injector cleaner into ur tank. if it still doesnt work, take it to a mechanic to check the sensor. that piece is worth around $200. it cost me around $250 w/ work.
