Hey guys, i've got a 90 AWD that i installed a NOS Direct port setup on. This is my first time ever playing with this stuff, and this is my first install so i really don't know much about nos in a turbo vehicle. the story is, i wrecked my galant and couldn't find another body to put my motor into, so i decided to go with a DSM. I've had the car running for the last year and when i dropped the engine into the car, i decided to add nitrous. The bottle is mounted, the lines have been run and i've got the foggers in place. the only thing i dont have setup is the power for the fuel and nitrous soleniods. My delima is, that i don't want to deal with having to push button with my setup if im trying to drag the car. shifing, watching rpms, pushing a button and trying to keep the car straight is too much to do while driving!!
This is what i have setup... I have a TMO chip in my ecu so i have the dual stage rev limiter on my car for launching and shifting... so when im going down the strip, i never let up on the throttle so i dont lose boost. i have a full throttle swich, and an msd window switch that are sitting on the side... but i want to setup the car so that the nitrous engages and disengages on its own... within a set of parameters... that are safe. in a sense, under full throttle, have nitrous turn on at 4 or 5k but shut off between shifts. is there some type of switch that i can tie into that is actuated by the clutch, so i can still launch and not have to worry about the nitrous engaging while the engine is not under load...???
anyway, any help or advice would be helpfull. im running an 18g with about 18psi and i've got 680cc injectors controlled by and AFC. btw what timing do you guys sugest i run, heat range of plugs... and ohh... im running a "rich 88 shot" in my setup. Here is a pic of my first install... what do you guys think???
thanks, Ray
