iat sensor mod?

I've never heard of such a thing. Are you experiencing a problem? Where did you hear about this? Is there something you're trying to accomplish?

i read somewhere adding like a resistor or pot to the iat(intake temp) sensor changes the voltage getting sent to the ecu making it think its cold outside

Hm, why would you want the ecu to think it's colder than it is? It will just make it run richer.

It feels like it pulls harder when its cold outside

Haha.... When it's actually colder outside, yes, it will pull harder because cold air is denser meaning more oxygen in the cylinders to burn. If you just trick the ecu, it will just put more fuel for the same amount of air, making the car run worse.
