Hi, I need help identifying the correct part. My 1998 Eclipse Spyder GS with the 4g64 has a low idle, around 400-600 rpm. I have to rev to start it, and rev to keep it from stalling. It ran great at higher revolutions when I took it for a 20 min drive, but back in the garage it resumed the low RPM idle, and stalled when the coolant fan cycled on. I suspect the IAC stepper motor has gone bad. When I unbolted and removed the stepper motor it separated, leaving the shaft in the throttle body. It feels a bit stuck, so I didn't force it out. See photos below. My important question is about the part number because I cannot find a reliable OEM or aftermarket part number for this. What is the part number I need? And secondly, advice on properly removing the shaft. Thanks!

That looks like a typical IAC stepper motor idle control valve. - You will need to find the part number from a 98 GS Spyder service manual. See if you can find the part number for your engine. Yours looks like it fell apart - but maybe this is normal for the GS motor?

I have a feeling it's not typical. Most part numbers I've found in my searching include a common circular flange with a round gasket, but in my photos you'll see a keyhole shaped flange where it mounts. That protruding shaft may be a part of the throttle body itself and is the reason I don't want to force it out. The 4G64 SOHC engine may include this stepper with the throttle body assembly itself but not as a stand-alone replaceable part

It does not look like this one: MD614698, early 2.4L

and it is not the same as the GST/GSX 4G63T MD628051.

So there is another part number for the 98 - 2.4L Spyder engine.
It should look like this - and in other posts here, it says the FIAV and IAC are one assembly:MD628046

Thanks but that part is incompatible. I'm finding that the stepper motor for the 1998-1999 Spyder GS is not available as a separate part number, but comes with the throttle body assembly. I am now looking for salvage yards parts or even better, a company that can rebuild my stepper motor

what is incompatible? Looks like what you posted to me. Was there a change in 98 99?
