I have recently purchaced another 2g talon tsi. I have owned a 1g and a evo8 before about 4 years ago. I want to run 16 lbs on my 2g. I was wondering if there are any mods I need to add to my vehicle to do so safely. I have a 255 walboro, 550 injectors, 3' turbo back exh. Can anyone throw some ideas my way. I want this to be a reliable daily driver. I just recently had the head reworked(stock). ANd installed cosmetic 4layer head gasket and installed some arp head studs. I was thinking about installing a 16g or a 20g with a front mount.

Yeah, i know that its all hooked up properly, im tempted to get another guage to double check it though. It will barely reach 10 psi full throttle, but doesnt normally reach that. Poss wastegate isnt holding all the way shut or just my luck its just setup low from factory. Doesnt even look like anyone has ever had the turbo off either.
Completely stock, some old guy owned it since it was new.
Thanks for the help though, ill give it a try.

I just connected my boost guage and its reading 9.5lbs stock. I want to turn it up to 16lbs.+.

9.5 psi sounds like the LOW BOOST, which the ECU goes to when you have severe knock issues. Are you sure the previous owner hasn't bypassed the Waste Gate Solenoid? Normally, the ECU energizes the BCS, which bleeds off 4-5 psi, and allows the wastegate to stay closed until 13-14 psi. If you aren't running good premium fuel, and the ECU hears too much knock, it turns off the BCS solenoid, which makes the wastegate see the full boost pressure, and it opens at <10psi.
You should compare your vacuum line routing, to make sure the BCS is still in the system to bleed off some boost.

If you have installed a manual boost controller, the BCS is optional, and most guys bypass it. You need to leave it plugged into the harness to avoid an MIL though.
