i turn the key and nothing happens

I have a 6/4 92 talon. It is completely stock. I got the car handed down to me with a broken timing belt. I replaced the head but the mechanic that did the timing belt didn't do it right and the valves are bent again. This I understand how to fix. The real problem is that when I turn the key to on nothing happens. I still have power to my door locks and the battery is brand new. But, if I turn the key to on none of the dummy lights come on. The radio, seat belts and everything else electrical don't work when the car is turned to on. Someone please help me. I have searched and searched trying to find out what is going on. I have no idea what to do. I am not positive if this is even where I should be posting. Can anyone help me?

speaking from a 1g point of view...check all of your power wires and fuses.on my talon,the windows would not roll up unless I had the motor running.I did some digging and found that one of the main power wires was not hooked to the battery(positive post),so I hooked it up and the windows work like they should now.hope this helps.

check for some blown fuses.

did you tight the bolt at the battery connector? + or -
if its loose and just sitted on, all the electronic can be on but starter wont move..

Check the starter, wires, plugs and fuses. If any thing it is the starter.

So pretty much the entire electrical system? Id invest in a multimeter, then do some current testing. If you can, tow it to advanced auto parts where they'll do a free starter load test and alternator test.

no, not the whole electrical system....just the fuses/relays, wiring/grounds (to/from the battery, starter, and starter solenoid

yes check the battery connectors (forgot what they are really called ) mine did this last summer just put on new terminals and your good to go....hey thats the word terminal haha there ya go

As stated above, I would start by checking fuses, especially the ones in the engine bay. If those are ok, post back. Do you have a way of checking for an error code? Datalogger or OBDII reader of some sort.
