This thread is so true, and so scary.... The only time I have ever stop thinking about the car and the next mod is when I got too busy in my life and the car is down for a while, I don't remember why it was down but I had a brand new '04 Sienna to drive for the time being. I'm so use to my car and knowing every nook and cranny of it. I can't see my self driving any other vehicle. I've had it for 8 years and not planning on selling it. Ever! This car made me a mechanic, I can't thank it enough.

Yeah they kicked me out of the AA meetings this is the only place i have left. They don't understand why i keep talking about my talon. I tell them its not the booze that is draining my wallet it the obession with the car thats the root of the problem. It makes an endless cycle of turn bolt, bust hand, throw wrench, drink jack to numb the pain, fix the problem, drive the car, and break something else. After awile i just started skiping the turn bolt phase and going right for the jack. Then i'm too drunk to look at the car strait so i just let the car sit and doesn't get fixed for awile. Hopefully after this intervention im having, called iraq, I'll be able fix the issues again we will see.

Just have a good friend build the car for you while you are gone. Thats what I did for my best friend when he went to Iraq, worst part is he took it out for a drive "untuned" when he came home from leave and when he returned I had to do another swap. I was pissed at first but then I figured he needed to take his built up aggression out on something, better the car than some innocent bystander. Beat something up before you come home and your car will love you for it!

I have 2 blown up cars, when I look at my DSM it pisses me off. Ooohhh lets build a turbo car, AWD its going to be awsome. Bad idea, really bad idea if you like beating the piss out of your car turbo and AWD dont become a fun thing anymore, its a game of whats going to break next. and geuss what?! You lose and never win that game becuase the worst most expensive parts like to break!

I don't know what stage I am in. All I do is think about my car, weather it's i am gonna sell it and get a new one, or i am gonna take a baseball bat to it, or if I am gonna follow the next fire truck I see and let my car burn for insurance money. It makes me mad then I say I am gonna sell it then I remember actually driving it and the turbo pull and I love it agian. I think about all the stuff I wanna do with it. It's been in the garage with engine problems for 2 months now, I am going on vacation with my g/f over labor day and I already told her i'm not going if I can't drive my car. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME????????????PLEASE HELP
