I Need help FAST!!!

I was driving down the road the other day and it felt like a power loss, or something. Any way now when I start it, after a couple of minutes, it starts smoking really bad. White smoke pours out of the exhaust. When I popped the hood, nothing looked abnormal except a little tiny bit of white smoke was coming out somewhere near the turbo or out of the turbo. I thought it was a head gasket until the turbo (area) was smoking. I don't think my turbo went out because it only has about 5k miles on it. It's a b16g.

somethin sorta like this just happened to me... i was driving and i heard a weird noise when the turbo started spooling when i stop and it idled...it smoked...like the same ur talkin about...i took off the intake pipe and checked the shaft and it had alot of freeplay...so now i'm throwin on a new turbo cuz i need one anyway...have u looked at anything besides just popping the hood yet?

that deffinitly sounds turbo related.. one thing i've learned with car's is to never rule anything out as a possability, espicaly turbos.. i'd check it out before you drive it much more or you could possably damage somethin pretty bad... i had a very similar problem in my last turbo car (a 1972 datsun 510) and i let it go and kept driveing it, then when i actuly took the time to deal with it, i needed a new motor and turbo, so i just got rid of it.. so deffinitly get it checked

Is there any simple tests I could do to determine what this could be?? How could the turbo possibly be bad though?? It is practically brand new

could have been something wrong with it from the begning, no way to really tell how it happen's, it could be something head realated as well, if i were you i'd make sure to stop driveing it and get it looked at.. if you have another turbo laying around you could swap it and test it.. otherwise i dont know what to tell ya, maybe someone else can offer a bit more help

Pull the intake pipe and check it for shaft play, check for oil in compressor housing, ic, ic pipes. Pull the pull the exhaust and check the turbine housing for the oil/coolant, could be too much oil pressure. Might as well do a compression test if you have the gauge handy.

I took the turbo inlet pipe and there was a little bit of oil in there?? There didn't seem to be any shaft play though. The turbo also seemed to spin freely so i don't know any ideas????

the water seals on your turbo could be blown. happened to a good friend of mine while racing a mustang.
