I was wondering if someone could please go out to their car and take a picture under the dash of the large spring on the clutch pedal. I need to see where it mounts on the pedal, and about how big it is. Thanks

hope this helps... spring is about 1.5-2 in long

I am doing an auto to manual swap, and I just got my pedal assemblies (brake and clutch). They are both from a 420a car, but they are going in my 96 GSX. I noticed on other turbo cars, the clutch pedal spring is very big and heavy duty. The one that came with the 420a pedal assembly is just like the spring on the brake pedal (much smaller). Will it be bad if I use the pedal from the 420a car even though the spring is smaller?

If youre worried about it, you could always put in a bigger spring. I cant see it being a problem. The pressure plate is a lot stronger than that spring so when the pressure plate wants back, itll move the fluid thatll move that pedal.

Hahaha, good call. I must admit-- I'm gonna miss auto:sosad: It was pretty fun for the track because it was consistent as hell. I ran 12.7 four times in a row.

Oh well, hopefully the manual will be more fun for driving around town and stuff.
