Hey guys, first post on the forums but I've been reading dsmtuners since the early 2000s...
So I've searched and searched and this topic has not yet been discussed. Basically, I want to know if I can I install a clutch pedal assembly w/out the assist spring on a 95 gsx? I pulled one from a 420a in great condition before realizing that all of the 2g 4g63's have the assist spring welded on. Is it really necessary?
From what I have read, I should expect slightly harder pedal feel after the swap. Is that all?
I have also read that older mustangs have to remove them to fix shifting at high rpm and swap them out for non assist spring pedals. In case you're curious, I am removing my assembly bc it is rusted out pretty bad. The car sat for way too long before I got it,
