its time for me to buy a new battery...ive pretty much drained down this battery to the point where if i leave my lights on for 1-2 minutes with the car off it wont start. and when im driving and have the music up and my tv on, everything will cut off for 5-10 seconds (no display on the tv and no sound in the car).

i currently have an 7 inch indash sony screen, a ps2 (run off a power inverter), and a 1000watt amp pushing 1 Kicker 12 in the trunk.

i need to buy this battery within the next 2 days before i head to charlotte for the weekend.

ive done some reading on the Optima Batteries but am still a little unsure if this is the way I should go.

any suggestions on what battery to get and where to get it for a good price would be great.

I stand behind optima and the yellow top. I picked mine up at Advanced Auto for around $160.00. It's pretty expensive, but they're definitely worth it in the long run if you plan on putting additional strain on the electrical system.

I completely recommend the yellow top, i bought one off of my friend and when i was installing my system i had almost all my interior lights on for literally 15 hours and it didnt even stutter start. above that i am running two 400.1 kickers pushing 2 10" subs right now and my lights dont even dim when it hits the low bass notes. u can pick one up for about 150. check sears im pretty sure they sell em there

is there a big difference between the red and yellow...cause $50 is a lot with Valentines day coming up.

I also highly recomend the Optima battery. Never has died on me. Mine also has a 3 year warranty on it.

I agree and suggest going to the optima's. Go with the yellow top. I forget what size, but just measure the stock battery or the location where the battery goes and look up which dimensions suit the space. If you go to optima's website, you can look up the dimensions of each model battery.

Just remember...your car will love you forever!
It's always there, it will never cheat on you, and it won't talk back.
