so the only way to tell if its a 6 bolt or 7 is to check the oil pan i got that now does that mean you all agree that its a 2.0 4g63t? cause it looks alot like a 2.4 to me but i drive a camaro LOL also what do you all think about use getting it for 4 grand it seems like a hell of a deal cause it runs great till stuff starts coming loose like header bolts i have to tighten them every time we run this car

It doesn't matter if it's a 2.0 or 2.4. It could have been rebuilt w/ a big crank. It does matter if it is a 6-bolt, 93-94 7-bolt, or a 95-99 7-bolt. If it's a 6-bolt, your in luck. Just get a 91-92 housing. Or hell, just heli-coil it! A 6-bolt is the most prefferred. Just use the VFaq link, and get it over with. All you have to do is lay down next to the car and stick your hand up there and gently rub the greasy engine in just the right place. You'll like it. It won't hurt. There, that's it That feels sooo good, doesn't it?

It's very important to know what engine you have.
