Alright, so I was coming home from work tonight, took a turn too fast and hit a curb. My front right tire is pushed back so far towards the back of the car in the wheel well that it is almost hitting the sideskirt. Towing guy said it probably needs a new tie rod but what do you guys think? I drove it for maybe 20 feet after I crashed it and I could feel it pulling to the left really bad. All in all, what do you guys think I did to my beloved car?

you could have bent your lower control arm too but a bad tie rod end could be it too you really need to jack the car up and take the wheel off to see what damage you did

it should be somewhere under $200 for the control arm and if your gonna do that job yourself you won't have to be worried about paying anymore

Same thing happened to me, its your lower compression arm. It is just below the control arm, but it is supposed to be slightly curved. When you impacted, you bent it far back and now your wheel is not centered in the wheel well. I attached a pic.

Just go to the junkyard and get it off any dsm you can find, its swappable with turbo or non turbo. 2 bolts on the chasis, and one ball joint bolt on the actual wheel assembly. I took off the rubber boot and cleaned it out, and put in new grease from a 99c packet from autozone. When tightening the ball joint, you will need to jack the car up from under the ball joint to get it to tighten up so it wont spin when you are tightening it. Leave me one if you need any more help.

Last year while I was en route to skewl just started to round the corner into the parking lot when I hit some black ice under the snow going less than 5 m.p.h, my wheels was turned left but the car just went straight and you can guess the rest. The right rim had the outer edge bent up at 45 degrees but it didn't but the bead on the tire. After replacing all 4 tires now there is a bad pull to the right and feels like the axle shafts are floating when under a load. Also bent the inner tie rod, lower control arm was pushed 1/4 of an inch to the left and bent the strut. Not to mention a tire and another rim too. Luckily I have another DSM because after that side impact she has never drove right ever since. It now has a to the right lean like a dump truck and takes a little counter steering to keep the wheels straight. Just be prepared to fight some problems you maybe have to end up rebuilding that side you had wrecked. What was funny was after the wreck the car didn't appear to have bent the frame but the damage was done to the suspension and steering, the car just didn't seen to feel right again after all those repairs where made.

alright so i replaced the lower control arm and bought a new rim, both from a junkyard. next i got it aligned and now its good as new. if anyone needs any help, pm for help.
