i have put 19,000 dollars into my 95 eclipse GST including buying the car, i have a put new motor ect. in it, the new motor has 20,000 miles on it and its ticking what the heck???? can someone please help me soon?

your lifters....read the handbook it says it is normal, but still is annoying. Did you replace them with the engine?

ok i have invested 19,000 dollars into my 95 mitsubishi eclipse GST,including the car, so basicly ten thousand and 5 grand of it was newengine , and all i have to show for the car is a non painted body kit on a car that gets beat by integra GSR's that are stock, (and eclipse GST is supposed to run 14.7 in a quarter stock and a integra runs 15.5 what the hell), and no its not my driving either i just doesnt have the horse powere it says it should , and i had a new engine put in like 5 weeks ago that has 20,000 miles on it why is my car such a pile of shit???????? if i dont find anything out im gonna buy a honda civic and DO NOT WANT THAT!!!!

If your car can't out run an Integra GSR it probably is a piece of shit because my Eclipse can easily. Maybe you should buy a Civic put some altezzas on it. You won't be able to out run a Ford Focus but at least your car will have as much rice as your name.

Check out this guy's preveous posts. He always mentions his car is getting smoked by Civics & Integras. He is just a Honda fanboy trying to stir up crap in our forums. I had a tricked out Del sol VTEC (B16A) with every mod possible and got rid of it because I put thousands of $$ into a car that a stock DSM turbo could run circles around it. Trust me, if anyone says that their turbocharged DSM is slower than a stock Civic or Integra (exception Type R), they either have a car in really bad shape or are just full of sh-t. With this guy I believe it is the latter.

the only honda that should give you a problem is a s200 and a nsx. other than that you should be running 14.7-14.5 STOCK..yes gentelmen STOCK. DSM are 14 sec cars not low 15 sec cars. As for your car hondakid 2001 what did you do to the engine or is it just a new stock engine? otherwise check compression, fuel pressure, and spark thats about all I can tell you. so as I said before nothing from honda should give you trouble.

i know what this guy is talking about, i dont think he is here to just start crap. My eclipse should beat Civic's but it gets destroyed by them. My car sure as hell does not feel as if it has 135-140 horsepower. I've driven a focus and it sure picks up a lot quicker than my car.

yes im getting boost i get depending on gears and stuff between 11 and 14 because i now have a turboX manual boost controller??? but yet all i do is either sit and spin or when i do catch the integra and i are dead even, i just dont know what to do????please help there is this cocky erigant lilttle prick driving a wrx that thinks hes tought shit and i want to kick his ass. all the way

Its funny you say prick, b/c thats the 2nd post that youve proved yourself to be just that. I personally think its the driver behind the car, not the car itself. Gimme your eclipse you hate so much and ill show you how to suck up a gs-r.

the guy is right the general principal of the body kit is to prevent the air from getting under the car and to provide more down force to provide stability and by doing this you need to increase the power behind the car to maintain the same speed

Alright HondaKid...
First off all before getting all agravated try to read a little..., for example, with all do respect fellow DSMer, your first mistake was not to search, I'm saying this, because if you already spend 19,000 dlls on your car, and it's not working, either your mechanic is very dumb, or your car might need a simple tune up, like spark plugs, wires, some vacuum hose it's not right, or even the cat could be totally clogged, have you checked something of this... on the other hand: if you once had 19,000 to spend on a car, you should have read the papers, search on DSMTRADER.COM, or many other sites and you could have found a very nice/good shape GSX, you even could have got lucky and got a 99-GSX but instead you got stock'd with that, so My recomendation to you, is try to look with patience you engine bay, and try to solve the problem... cause your car should be beating any stock integra's as... And is not only me who said this, it's all of us...!
