Looks like a good quality pipe, but you can't always trust LOOKS!! 'with this downpipe you will totally eliminate the cat', quoted from the aution, so yes. What would make you think it will trip a CEL? It's just a pipe. :)

I don't know the emissions laws in your area, but it is wise to not throw away your old d/p and cat!

well im in nc and my cat is takin off and i passed emissions.but here they only really check 1995 and up for emissions.but still they put the sniffer in my exhaust and it passed.so the guy said.

The CEL really depends on your car its a hit and miss situation, I have my cat elimated with a Megan DP and I don't throw a CEL.

Id say go for it looks good. really how much can you go wrong with a downpipe as long as the fitting to the turbo is right and the elbow is right to miss everything the rest of the exhaust will allow for givenness. so go get it, its cheep to. it shouldn't throw a cel and it does eliminate it but if it were to throw a light get a o2 eliminator :thumb: :dsm:

so this dp is 2.5 at the flange for the turbo and then it goes to a full 3" all the way back? sounds good so then it would bolt straight up to the 3" catback and have a full true 3" exhaust.

and im guessing i coudln't go ahead and get it now and put it on and then in a couple of weeks get the catback could i?
