Now what do I do!?! I'm used to running open o2 and my car is a bit slower than before. I'm guessing I'd be lucky to trap 111-112 now, but that's neither here nor there.

My question is: I am still on the stock exhaust manifold and o2 housing, they are ported, but how much of a difference would a FP race manifold and a tubular o2 make for spool and power? My spool is a couple hundred slower as well. :notgood:
 
You'd probably notice faster spool w/ the FP race mani compared to the stock 1g.
 
I would go with the FP if you have the cash or just en evo III so you won't have to worry about the cracking.
 
I'm not too big on going tubular, I'm not sure that I want to spend that kind of money for a tubular just to be replaced later when I get the T4 hotside. FP Race manifold sounds promising, can it be ported? As far as o2 housings go, I would like at least a 2 1/2in since I haven't seen very many 3in ones.

How did you manage a 13.467 with a 111 trap speed? That must've been a wicked launch!

That's actually a very, very slow time for a 111 trap. I think that my 60' was 2.2 since I didn't launch it and it took a couple of tries to get into 2nd gear. :| New tranny is being built now to rectify that though. :D
 
I meant that sarcastically.

My buddy's Ion Redline ran the EXACT same pass last week (13.4/111) and he's only turning 2 wheels.

Practice launching with that new tranny, get your 60ft down to 1.7 and you'll be clocking low 12's or maybe an 11. You have Prothanes? That'll make sure your 1-2 shift goes smooth as butter with the new tranny!
 
I only got one chance to launch it that night, pulled a 1.9 and almost went into the other lane. :-/ I think I'll build less boost off the line since I have a full exhaust, maybe it'll help calm the spinning.

On topic: Anyone know of 3in o2 housings that are mass produced?
 
Mine sounds very deep and it's an eBay muffler I believe. Do you have a GS or GST? Magnaflow and Dynomax cans sound really nice. My old exhaust is a 2.5 with a Dynomax and it sounded nice as well. I'll see if I can't get a clip of this new exhaust for you.
 
that would be great, I have a GS-T, Im not wanting to have the "rice burner" sound, looking for a more deep tone.
 
ACTUALLY

i dont think its just turbo cars because before mine was a gst it was a gs

and it sounded deep and throaty and my car was not that great i get made fun of down here because i drive a dsm but they dont say anything after i pass them up
