:dsm: :talon: A good friend of mine just picked up a FWD 1991 Talon Tsi...it has 83,000 miles on it and we just changed the timing belt.....it is 100% stock....We have a high school drag racing event coming up in may and we were wondering what is the quickest way to get it to a high twelve or low 13....I have my own idea of how to do it but i just want everyone elses opinion....its appreciated:dsm: :talon:

Thanks fellow DSMer's

first thing is to get a aftermarket boost gauge and Boost controller the you have to get an exhaust done full 3 in ,then injectors 550's would work with SAFC 2, at least small 16g,well you can port your stock 14b and it should be ok, after that youll need a wb o2 and logger to tune the car right, and the main thing for the track is a Good Slicks

search project goodwill. they got a 1g fwd on stock turbo into the 10s last i checked.

power mods, weight reduction, slicks, slam the front end and make the back suspension real stiff to decrease weight transfer.

a lot of it depends on whether this is going to be strictly a drag car for this project or if its going to pull street duty afterwards

Strip her... As long as no one is along for the ride down the track. Passanger Seat, Rear Seat, carpet, sound system, spare, jack, the list goes on and on... Remember that its the power-weight ratio that maters. 550's, S-AFC, Walbro 255, and areomotive fpr. I have an areomotive fpr and love it, thats not something you want to go cheap on. I suggest porting your turbo and exhaust mani yourself. Making your own 3in exhaust would be nice if you have the tools and the time. If not there is some good stuff on ebay... hope this helps...:thumb:
