I was heading home, cruising at around 30mph a block away from my house, when a red car infront of me braked really hard. That forced me to brake hard, but unfortunately, I braked on an ice+slush+ mixture. I swerved, avoiding oncoming traffic, and lied down next to a parked Celica. The red car honked twice and drove away.

Nobody got hurt, everything is fine, the police took care of everything except my car.

I plan to do most of the bodywork myself since I'd save a lot of money this way for other repairs.

If anybody is selling 2g White body panels, hood, suspension, please let me know. I'd Greatly appreciate it.

I think people got a little side-tracked from your origional question. Im sorry to hear about your car, and sorry to see so many people flaming you for it man. I feel you, and though i can't answer ur question, I just smashed up my 2g rs by hitting an audi...but it was totalled so insurense payed up (since it wasnt my fault) and i got a 98 gs-t :thumb:

I'm not looking for any sympathy or any tears. I'm just asking for help on my suspension area, and parts, aside from DSMTuners, ebay, and junkyard.

The same people that are saying I tailgated are the ones that havent even read my post and just took a glance at the picture and start to accuse.

Thx for your time.

I don't forsee any repairs being done over the web, but I do see a few flames starting up here.

You need to have a shop look it over. If the unibody's tweaked, you're totalled. Otherwise, you're looking at a few thousand dollars in repairs, and doing it yourself will demonstrate to you why it costs so much.

Any more flaming or hijacks, and this thread dies. The crash has already happened, and we don't give a damn what anyone thinks about "why" or "fault".

I dont mean to jack this thread but, i'd really appreciate it if I can get just a little help. Thx. :thumb:

[SARCASM]What, you expect to get help in a thread you started?[/SARCASM]

First of all, sorry about what happened to your car!

People have already covered the avenues to finding replacement body and suspension parts. As for the wheel, I suggest you get 4 steel wheels and a set of Blizzaks to use during the winter. That way you can have a nice set of rims with sticky rubber out of harm's way for the winter, you'll have better traction during the winter months, and if there is another accident then you're only replacing a steel wheel.

Good luck with everything, in this day don't be surprised if the Celica owner sues you for whiplash

i have a complete white gsx parts car. Let me know what you want need and i can hook you up. I am in western NY so if you want to make the haul so i dont have to ship the hood etc. that woudl be awesome. my AIM is cman2770 talk to me sometime, ill have everythign you need.

Hey, finally some help. :thumb:

Hey, thx for all your support. Of course, an accident always involves 2 parties, each with their own faults. But if you speak from experience, you know where i'm coming from. I'm doing my best to get her back up and running.

Once again, thx to the community.

my dad and i fix wrecked cars all the time and sell them or keep some(my talon is a wrecked 1 we gotta fix) and from the photos it looks like you need a Left fender, bumper cover, strut assembly, and maybe a door, and maybe a SMIC, i cant remember if i saw a FMIC on ur car. U should fix it, it doesnt look to hard to fix. Good Luck :talon:

Well I know how you feel, last week on my way home from work coming down an icy hill in first gear my eclipse slid sideways off the road. I hit the curb hard and Busted 2 of my brand new rims and tore up the control arm. There is no other "apparent damage" but I wont know until I pry the control arm off. I am hoping that the frame is not torqued or else she is totaled.

Damn, this is the most useless thread ever. I think maybe one person on these two pages actually answered the guy's question. You guys get off topic wayyyyy too easily... :thumbdown

so much for DSM brotherhood...get off the guys nutts...an accident is an accident...its not like he came here begging for parts or your sympathy...some of you people are grade A pricks

as for the guy in the red car, it takes alot of charecter to watch an accident occur that they caused and then honk the horn and drive off...i hope you get the priveledge of seeing that guy in person...or at least the good fortune to witness his car sitting on its roof after some crazy accident.

your front clip doesnt look to bad from the pics...since you have black wheels, you can make sure the wheel isnt screwed as fas as bent and then fill the gap in with some jbweld or something and sand it down and then have the wheel powdercoated...the fender will take quite a bit of work...it is repairable, but it would probably be cheaper to find some fenders off of a wrecked car...dont know what your take on the fiberglass z3 fenders are but they can be had off of ebay for 80 bucks a set...dont get to down about it, shit like this happens...i lost a rear panel on my TA in a very similar fashion, except i got tangled up with a concrete pole...a few grand will have you sitting pretty again if you decide to fix what you got

Alright, this thread has run its course. Thanks for playing folks.......
