I'm getting a manual boost controller (and boost gauge) to increase my hp, anyway I couldn't afford an aftermarket BOV so should I wait till I get a BOV before I install the boost controller or will I be alright w/stock? What's the max boost on stock turbo for the 95 eagle talon tsi fwd?

2G stock BOV will not hold more than 11 or so psi. No sense in putting that MBC on till you have at least a 1G BOV on there and some fuel mods...like a pump or a rewire kit for your stock pump.

Got the pump part out of the way. So a 1g bov or aftermaket is necessary to increase boost huh? I think I can get one cuz my friend is parting out his 1g gsx. After I get that is 15-16 psi cool?

Yes keep her south of 16 or your next thread might be about a smoking turbo though. T25's don't like high shaft speeds for very long.

PS: fill in your mod list it makes it easier to help you out.

True, I'll do it soon. I forgot to mention staytuned, my friend swapped bov's w/me. He has a 2003 lancer evolution and he put his bov on mine. Do you think this will exempt me from buying a different bov afterall?

not to be a dick or anything... but you really need to read up before you start modding the car. it sounds like you don't know a whole lot, so instead of blowing up a 2g due to your lack of knowledge, read up a little bit.

the evo bov is good for about 17 psi for sure (evos run 19)

It did go right in?

I looked at a friends bov and it looked the same butI never physically tried it

2G's, 3s's, and evos use the same bov 'flange'. Any of the above are interchangable.
