Williamsburg,
I am leaking from my transfer case like a mother. What could it be and how hard will it be.I think its been leaking for a while but not sure if that was it.One more question how do I adjust my clutch setting. It will not engage untill its almost on the floor.

wierd... I have that EXACT same problem, I'm not worried about where the clutch grabs though. can you do anything about that cause it's been bleed it's apretty new clutch so I'm assuming as the clutch wears down it will become lower but i may be wrong ;)

I think mine may be leaking because of the gasket between the engine and transfer case, but I'm putting it on a lift tomorrow and finding out for sure.

go to a good tranny shop and just have them check it out.

For your transfer case...I'd take it to the dealer and get it taken care of under the recall. It doesn't get cheaper or easier than that.

For the clutch just look under the dash and you should see the adjustment rod, turn the bolt until it feels right and then tighten the lock nut up.

I would take it to the dealer but the recall on the t case has already been done. And I am not sure its the transfer case.I think it could be the tranny.Alot of fluid is coming out but I could be wrong.

I didn't even know there was a recall on the t-case...stupid me. this applys on my 97 gsx right? i don't think it's ever been replaced

Is the car driving OK? Any bucking/jerking, or shifting problems?
When my tranny was leaking alot, it was because of differential problems, but I could feel them driving down the road.....

sob.... I called the local dealer and they took my vin and said there wasn't a recall on it..."there is a recall on the 3000gt and gsx but not your gsx" mitsubishi's gonna get a little complaint call tommorow. this happend to anyone else??? If I end up paying for this myself what can i expect pay to have it done?

YA it happened to me.They told me there was no such recall. Then I called the main office and made a complaint and they called me back and told me the recall has already been done to the car.

really, they can only replace their disfunctional part once ? b.s. well hopfully i can work somthing out.

The tcase recall has been gone around and around on this board. It is a lifetime recall, even if it has been done, if it is leaking again they must fix it again. If you aren't getting satisfaction from the dealer then contact NHTSA is at 1-888-327-4236. I'm on my 3rd transfer case. For more information you could refer to the giant sticky found here http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19280

The dealer is going to fix my t-case again. Thanks for the help.I thought you could only get it fixed once.
