this is the tough part looks like the alternator and dipstick in the way, I plan on running the downpipe out the front bumper so a alt relocation will be needed, but what can I do anbout the dipstick?

So far looks like the only parts that im getting hung up on is the downpipe situation and routing my wastegate dumps.

I would ditch the stock radiator and go with a VW or honda unit. I have one from a scirocco and I haven't hooked up fans yet. I haven't run it in hot weather, but I can let it idle for 1/2 an hour after getting it up to temp and it won't go above 1/2 on the gauge. Come summertime I'm going to see if I can get away without fans or with a single slimline.

rommel- im using a red jack divided t3 manilfold, the hotside is stock holset t3 18cm divided, The dipstick in my situation will deff be in the way its literally 2ish" away from the vband outlet. im using extremepsi's water pipe plug, as for the thermosat housing it will probably be a weld situation.

tkelly- I thought about it I have a mishmoto aluminum dsm radiator I was going to use but im not sure yet on that. a half rad seems very appealing space wise.

The aluminum DSM one comes with all the inherent problems of the DSM unit with a higher price tag. A scirocco/audi unit fits right where AC used to be. Mine I was even able to lay it down on the stock lower mounts so I have even more clearance. The DSM radiator doesn't seem to be very well designed either. The majority of the flow occurs between the inlet and the outlet. There is no reason for fluid to flow from the inlet, all the way to the edge, and then to the outlet. The scirocco/audi is a double pass and I believe much more efficient, although I've yet to test it.

I've not heard of an ebay wastegate failing, although I'd like to if there is info on it. Guys on theturboforums seem to love them.

I would ditch the ebay wastegates...

Why is this?? Name brands fail too, in fact, I got less than 400 miles on my Tial 38mm mvs wich was brand new, the springs (2 of them for 17.40psi) stayed in compressed state after heating up, so don't be so judgmental just because it's "eBay", alot of people run eBay gates with no issues at all. Thankfully I am being sent new springs for my tial free of charge.

richard- that works ill give that a go, thanks

morpherex- they arent complete junk ebay wastegates, they can be rebuilt with tial parts they come with so called "junk" silicone diaphrams so those can be swapped along with springs. Ive personally seen these on big turbo fbodys and stangs with no issues, ill do some comparision pics later

tkelly- I got the dsm rad free with the car so its no loss if I dont use it, by the looks of all the posts the scirocco seems to be the best fit and function so im deff leaning that way, thanks!!

Thanks. I'd like to see those pics. I have never seen somebody compare them yet.
