I just wanted to get everyones thoughts on this turbo setup.

BW S366 .91 T4 twinscroll dual wastegate w/ a twinscroll manifold

I've done some research and snooping around, but not too many people are using this turbo. But when I do come across someone with this setup, the hp/tq and response statistics are phenominal.

Tell me what you think? Pics, hp numbers, spool statistics, and last but not least, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE?!

And another piece of info... I'm looking to run this setup on a built 6 bolt 2.0RPM

Thanks!

:hellyeah:

That's what I have setting here waiting to go on. Forget his user name but Kenny went 9.7 on 36psi(?) With a 2.0 on the same turbo. If you havnt bought it yet get a REAl Borg Warner/Airwerks 91/79 (s366) and can pick one up for $700. You will be paying double the price for a BEP because it's rebadged with there name on it.

^^ Yes, and he did it on a 8.3 or 8.5:1 bottom end with auto. Very potent turbos!

Nice!! I will definitely get this turbo. I'm going built 2liter. S3 cams and with gsc valvetrain. +1 valves. Turbo tuff rods and weisco hd pistons. Manley/ eagle crank. L19 hardware with mucho boost. Can't wait!

The s366 is a monster, my roommate (Brokentsi) has that turbo and it is awesome. If you can get the new batmowheel or double batmowheel you'll see super quick spool and more airflow too!

We carry BW and we work with BEP so if you need any Batmowheels let us know. Send us a PM or call us at (269)350-9055 and I can get you pricing on what setups all you guys want.

These are 700.00 plus shipping we have them in Stock ready to ship.

According to BEP you can not just get a batmowheel upgrade you have to buy the complete turbo due to some machining requirements for around 1700.00

We can do the Billet wheel Non-batmowheel for another 3-400 dollars.

Kenny (kp116) is a good buddy of mine.. His car is insane.. The s366 was a crazy set up but he didnt have a "true" t/s set up.. Older DNP manifold with a divider flange with a divided single waste gate. Still managed to dial it in to 40psi earlier this season and it was just stupid! IIRC he managed a 9.90 letting off at the 1000'.. Never managed to make it to the track on that particular boost set up..

He just recently made the switch to the PTE 6766.. Now up at 40psi..

I cant say for sure because I simply dont know.. Im not sure if he is even sure, he hasnt been on a dyno since he was on a holset. Then he made 640awhp at 32? psi.. But I wouldnt put it past anyone to say its around 780-800awhp.. With the PTE the car is capable of low 9s..

This turbo is definetly all the magic that it seems. I blindly bought it just from a couple reviews I heard and because of the price. I have a 2.0L with 8.3.1 Ross pistons, Eagle Rods, BC 280's and when I was on 93 Octane on 18 psi I was raping 500+whp cars. Do NOT get the .88 a/r open T4. I bought it before I got my DNP manifold. I was getting 20 psi by 6k rpm's LOL. Defines turbocharger lag. However, I just bought FIC 2150cc's, 2 Bosch 044 fuel pumps and whenever I get around to finishing my transmission, I'll be running 35-40 psi on E85. I switched to the .91 a/r twin scroll turbine housing and will let you know how much of a differnce I get in spool/lag. I am most definetly a true believer in Borg Warner turbos. I wasn't even close to the efficiency range making gobs of power. I never even had antilag or launch control or anything, but when I WOT shifted 2nd to 3rd my Nittos would break loose.

Nice man!! Glad to hear that this turbo is doing well for the setup I'll be running. I'm still debating in the AR. .91 or 1.00. I'll be revving out to the moon with my current build!!!

Iv seen alot of people running these turbos out to 9k with the .91 housing with no problem. On the .100AR you'll get alittle more power per boost but is it worth the lag?

How much is a little more in comparison from the .91 to the 1.00? I need real first hand experience. I'd like to make big power while having the least amount of lag in comparison to other setups. So if the 1.00 is proven not to be worth it, then .91 it is. But if the 1.00 has substantial gains up to with minimal lag added, then you know that's where it'll be.

Try the .91 a/r housing first. A New turbine housing is only $170 incase you decide the spool isn't laggy as is. Use no more than 272 cams, 2.5" intercooler pipes, a true twin scroll manifold, and on a 2.0L you should be able to get 30 psi around 5500 rpm's which is the perfect powerband IMO

Hmmm... The gsc s3's would be overkill for this setup?

Yes. This is an old school trick. Use 272's or the GSC S2's which are 274 duration and 11.5mm lift. You need the more mid range power to help spool this turbo. I personally would suggest Kelfords on a dsm, because GSC's are more Evo 8-9 friendly.

I am currently still on Brian Crower 280/280's that I'm ditching for Kelford 272/272's. The 272 kelfords make more midrange and top end power than the BC 280's LOL.

Well whats the price difference between the s366 and the newer billet s400?

The s366 for $700 is amazing for the type of performance. What does the new s400 series billet have to offer in comparison to the s366?

And i will look into the kelford cams over the gsc's

The Borg Warner 91-79 (S366 is Bullseye Power nomenclature) is one of the best street turbos for big power period. For its price point and reliability it cannot be beaten. Another really good choice would be the Borg Warner S300SX "FMW". Its uses the same compressor wheel from the BW EFR 8374 and is good for approx 800whp. Its a smaller inducer (62mm) and uses newly designed aerodymanics which will increase spool times from the 91-79 and make almost the same peak power, but have a much more linear powerband. The "FMW" is also customizable with your choice of turbine wheel to increase spool or increase topend power. You cannot go wrong with either choice!

The billet 67mm you are refering to is the S400SX 67mm turbo. It is amazing but is overkill for what you want, that turbo can support ~1100whp and will do nothing but increase lag.
