Anyone know what pins do what on the wire harness for the HVAC fans. I deleted the HVAC controls and I would just like to be able to turn the fans on for defrosting in the morning. Totally wasn't thinking when I did that. Thanks!

Pins 2,3, 5, 6 and 7 go to blower motor resistor to control the fan speeds from low (pin2),medium low (pin3) medium high (pin6) to high speed (pin7) Pin#8 goes to the junction box to the heater relay and is powered from fuse #3 10 amp from interior fuse block. Pin #5 is Black and goes to ground.

So connecting pin 8 to pin (2) should activate the fans at low speed?

Tell me exactly in your best words of how much wire cutting have you done? In the interior fuse block, there is a relay that should be in place is it not? For the blower motor to work on low speeds you will need the blower motor resistor, is it not installed? Now, we have the blower motor switch, I forgot to mention that Pin #5 Black wire is the ground for the blower switch. If the blower motor resistor is not installed or is bad, the blower motor can be bypassed for only on the Highest speed. You need to check fuse #3 10 Amp & Fuse #16 30 Amp for power when the Ignition is switched into the ON position. If you have power to both of those fuses then the rest of the circuit should work when you do the circuit bypass.

If you feel that you need need to bypass the entire circuit, run a wire from the Black/White wire from the Blower Motor Fan to Pin #7 Black/Yellow wire on the Blower Fan Switch. Run a wire from Blower motor Switch Pin #5 to a ground source. You will have air movement but only when the switch is turned to High, if you do not have air movement then you have a bad blower motor fan.

I haven't done anything yet because I'm scared to do it. Everything worked fine before I replaced the knob with gauges. So I'm guessing that bypass should work then. I've got a toggle switch I can hook up to it sometime soon.
