I know ive probably been annoying the hell outta people on here asking if this and that is a good deal, but this will be my 1st turbo dsm and i wanna make sure i wont run into any major problems and dont get ripped off Im fairly new to the whole DSM scene..Ive been driving a 99 GS for about 4 months

SO..here it is. A 1997 Talon TSi (fwd ) Every car i see has one downside..this one would be mileage =/

Any help would be appreciated.

I think its a good deal. I paid the same for my GST and it has 135,000 miles on it. The talon looks to be in good shape

Thanks for the fast reply...yeah ive heard of some DSMs lasting a LONG time..ive never had one that long which is why i was weary on getting one with high miles..I owned a 95 Camaro which went downhill after i hit 100k and thats why i keep trying to find a car with low miles.
Plus this guy babied the car so much from what he says.

Looks like an ok deal. Make sureyou look for the common strut tower rust big problem up in that area where they use alot of salt in the winter. I have seen many automatics go for 2000-3000 FWD or AWD But that one looks to have a really clean body.

I would want to know more about what he hit and would want to have the undercarage looked at for damage and repairs.

I personaly do not Trust a mitsu auto trans over 130k Every one I have bought blew up shortly after.

Mines an Auto and it runs like a dream. Maybe someone likes to nuetral drop theirs

If so it wasn't me I have bought two with blown/ going bad transmissions both were under 130k and they are soo expensive to rebuild just parts for a stock rebuild was over 800 the last time I tried (never got it to work right then it flooded and I got paid for a rebuilt transmission before they scraped it ). I can not find a decent used one for under 1500 around here its crazy.

I also blew up the trans in my first DSM (97 avenger) which had a chrysler tans in it at 120 I unknowingly bought it with a bad diff. It exploded and sent the spider gears though the case Took 20k miles before any one figured out what it was. I almost paid to have it rebuilt I know they would have over looked the diff and it would have exploded anyway then I would have had to sue te piss out of them

Well im still looking but hopefully this one (The Talon) could be good...BUT i just found a 98 GSX for 50K original miles :O for 3000? I emailed them, i sure as hell hope its not another scam. I got good ass deals on my first 2 cars, i hope this could be my 3rd good deal (;
