hey guys. i just installed a load of stuff a couple days ago. agp 50 trim, 3inch turbo back, walboro 255, 680cc injectors, fmic, etc.... will i be able to run safely with this setup until i get my ecu socketed with the dsmchips.com chip? (which will be put on monday, it has the injector compensation and all the other good stuff). other than running extremely rich, will there be any major problems i could cause to my car? oh yeah, i also have a safc on they way in a couple days too. thanks for your time.

thanks. just wanted to make sure that i wouldn't damage something expen$ive.

are you saying drive the car with a 450cc injector map and running 680cc?

that is just stupid if so

Yes that is what I am saying. The car is going to be pig rich, slow as hell, and foul out plugs, but if it's his only transportation, it's not going to hurt the car. It's not recommended, but it can be done. Is that "stupid?"

Run too rich and you can wash the cylinder walls and contaminate the oil and gas will "eat" bearings. You deceide, Mark

If the car even runs, it would not be a good Idea to drive it.

Just put the 450's back in until you are ready for the bigger injectors. :thumb:

yep :thumb:

and it only takes like 20 min to change out the injectors anyways.
just wait for the afc.

yeah you can wash the walls running rich and F up the rings and walls but 2-3 days wont hurt it.
he will change his oil before the bearings become a factor.

the ecu will be socketed on monday...just as my post states. i think i will be fine for 2 days.

Hey, it's your car. If it were mine, I'd put the 450's back in if you really need to drive the car.

Like the other guys have said, washing walls and contaminating oil. Also, carbon build up will be intense and will not help with knock / ping when you do finally do it right :)

680CC injectors are 1.511 times the size of 450CC injectors in terms of flow capability. If the motor is tuned for 12.5:1 AFR on 450CC injectors you would be seeing ROUGHGLY 8.27:1 AFR with the 680CC injectors. It's going to run too rich and probably wash down the cylinder walls. I wouldn't risk it.

just an update. i am not driving the car anyways until i get the chip installed. just wanted to know if i could drive it if i had to drive the car
