I recently picked up a 97 Talon TSI and found the previous owner installed an EVO 8 MAF, but the vehicle still has a stock ecu. Fuel, turbo, etc... is also still stock. I know the evo8 MAF flows higher, so how bad is the car going to run as is? Horrible idle? Undriveable? I talked the previous owner into sending me an evo8 ecu he had laying around but Im not sure if I want to run that with ECUFlash or sell it and go back to link like I had on my previous DSM.

Thanks for any heads up guys, should have the car up and "running" by Friday.

Being that you have to find a way to compensate running the evo8 maf usually through link. I still think it would run but it'll run like crap but probably enough to get it to where you need to go and park it.

Thats what I figured, thanks for the response! Im just trying to make sure it atleast runs before I start modding it.
