Sup guys I drive a second gen and I just bought myself the machine to roll the fenders to get the ( tires wider than fenders track car look! ) so I am wondering how wide of wheel spacers I would need On 225/45/17 42 offset 17-7 rims...

Pictures would be awesome!!! thx

I wouldn't go with wheel spacers man, like everyone has said just buy a set that go with the new clearances.

I ran some 275-35-17's in the front, a little smaller height than stock, and with the right offset on the rims I had, they fit decently but I had rubbing on lock to lock turns, very slightly.

I dont know why people are that srared of wheel spacers, sure some cheap ones can do damage ill agree on that! but some people drift and do time attack with spacers! Anyways i bought those brand new rims last summer so changing my current setup is not a option... And its a street , non daily driven setup

I was thinking about 1 inch spacers, not sure if anyone has pictures of there rides whit a decent ofset so I can get my mind set on the right numbers to optain with the spacers...

Really rolling fenders is no big deal and takes a couple hours, with a decent heat gun the paint remains in good condition, anyways I really do think that getting proper and good quality spacers would give me that look I want and would me cheaper that bying a whole new (tire plus wheel setup!)

Do you have any pics? 275s should be pretty cool!

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but to run 245s or larger in the rear without hitting the knuckle will require running somewhat excessive negative camber (-1.5ish) in order to clear even rolled fenders. Just a caveat. If you don't care about good handling you can ignore it.

Might be required for 235s but I have only run 245 and 255 tires on my car with matching diameters to stock.
