i think 20psi has became the norm after break in, so stock supsension is fine for this kind of power. not bad at all! i think this car was made to be modded.

whole plan is scrapped, wife doesnt want to be "inconvienienced" with normal stresses of life. wants me to wait till im in san diego...whatever. so, i guess the 95 talon tsi with a garrett gt28, walbro 455 pump, 450cc injectors, act 2100lb clutch and light flywheel, boost controller, wideband o2, egt and all the decent works (just needs a new build) is all gone to the crapper.. well i hope it makes nice lawn furniture.

Hope you can 'ween' her from her personal desires. If she's not happy, then I KNOW the story.

Like I said, it's like handling a baby. She's a baby to YOUR love of the automobile. Teach her how much you love it. In the process, you'll learn how much happiness it may or may not yield and she will learn or confirm her thoughts of you:)

Just to add. . .

i have learned that having a larger port doesnt mean always better, unless you are talkinb big block chevy heads, the 455 big chief or 454 rectangle ports. anyways, velocity is always better, look at the old school corvette head, the double humps. with a lot of porting, it barely outflows the newer vortec head with better springs, so i plan on using the 2g head. the larger port would benefit in power increase from a lot more boost, but with a straight shot and to the cylinder and better angles, it would be ok. plus i already have a 2g in the car that was blown up...either crank walk or he launched it too many times at 5-6000 rpm having fun. but i do appreciate the posts!! he has a socketed ecu, so i think the dsmlink would work nice with it. he also has a cable that can hook to a pda or laptop to log and reflash the ecu. and RRE can do a final tune when i get to socal. plus for this car to roll on the road, i would need the engine. so a stroker is out of the question. i could get a crank and shorter pistons later i suppose!

Velocity is only about 1/3 of the story. Don't compare VORTEC heads with swirl action to a multivalve head that benefits from air STRAIGHTENing. High velocity from narrowing the runner causes swirl. Swirl inhibited by port divisions and non-circular walls negates the velocity induced. There is ZERO chance you can negate these traits in every multivalve head. Leave 2 valve heads in their own relm.
