Hi and welcome new members who want to know how to vent your blow off valve. This tech article is to teach you how to properly vent your blow off valve. Venting your bov(blow off valve) improper can make your car run like crap. I am going to show you the path to properly vent you bov. Most people will say to keep your car re-circulated,(which means not to vent the bov) there are different opinions on this and is a preference.

Here are the steps to properly vent your bov.

Step one, the basic's you need to know

So you want to vent your bov, these are some basic things that you need to know. The car
runs like crap due to the air reading in the begging of the cycle. In order to change that you must run a GM maf and translator to make the reading after the bov. The car runs funny if you vent becuase the car knows that the bov releases a measured amount of air back into the intake, thus if you vent, the air doesn't return. The way to properly vent is to purchase the things below. There are ways to make it cheaper but i did it the way that i am doing it. Purchase a upper intercooler pipe that is cut for a GM Maf and comes with couplers. All pictures are below to show were the GM Maf sits on the pipe. The translator hooks up to the GM Maf and translate the language to dsm language. Below the list of stuff you need is pictures of what the items look like and how they look on a car.

Step two

1.Buy intercooler pipping.
2.Buy air intake without bov return inlet.
3.Buy GM Maf
4.Buy GM Maf translator

pictures

pictures are in order of the list above.
and the middle picture is when everything is on the car.(Good luck)!
