How to test these relays (pics)

Just want to know how to test these things

there only 2 relays i just took 2 pics or each thanks
the 2 on top are one 2 on bottom are the other.
these are for the abs system one on top says 12v BOSCH and you can see the other one on the table from first pic. thanks

There shoulb be a diagram of the relay on the relay itself. Two of the connectors are for the coil the other two are the switch. The relay conn. are numbered use these numbers and the numbers on the diagram to see whats what. Using a multimeter check the pins for the coil (should get a ohm reading). If you get an ohm reading on the coil then take wire (preferably alligator clip test wire) and hook one wire to each of the relay coil terminals then hook the other ends of the wire to the batt. ( one pos. the other neg.). Check your switch terminal with the meter if the relay is good the switch will close under power and you will have a .001 ohm reading on your meter.
 
No the two open terminals. This is your switch the diagram for the switch should have a terminal # and what looks like an open drawbridge to another teminal # . What you are checking is that the drawbridge is closing and making contact. If you upload a picture of the diagram I can give you the numbers of the terminals to test on the relay.
 
well the one im confused about doesnt have a diagram on it theres is 3 open ones on the one i dont get (bottom pics) the 2 (right and left) on that one are the ones that trigger it to close. Then 3 terminals theres one on top middle and bottom.
 
With no power hooked to the relay check to see if there is continuity between two of those terminals. If you do then when you hook power to it that one should open up and the other will close. If there is no continuity with no power that means both terminals should have continuity when power is supplied. If you have terminal that does not have continuity either way then the relay is more than likely bad. The best way I can explain is one of your three terminals feeds the other two. i.e. 12v is constantly supplied to terminal 1 when power is applied to the relay coil the switch is closed and sends 12v to terminals 2&3 or 12v const. to terminal 1 sendig 12v to terminal 2 when power is supplied to the relay coil the connection is broken between terminals 1&2 and made between terminals 1&3 sending 12v to terminal 3. You want to check between 1&2 and 1&3 with and without power to the relay coil. Hope this helps its hard to know how the relay is setup without a diagram. Good idea Rob10 just didnt know if the relay is glued together or not but that will definitly tell you how it works.
