If you had to run a pair of wires through a fuel cell, how would you seal up it's passage? I've been looking all morning for some sort of "electrical bulkhead" or the like, and I can't find anything that will work.

If anyone has an idea, please share. I'm completely open to suggestions.

I'm not sure how to locate the flange piece by itself, but a fuel level sender uses a bulkhead with a sealed and insulated pass-through conductor. I think you could fairly easily remove the uneeded parts and just use the flange.

The only thing i've found that absolutely did not leak was to dab a bit of ultra-grey silicone around the wires and kinda force it in the holes around them with your finger. I've used something similar to the one in your pic, but even it leaked on a full tank and i had to put ultra grey on it... after TIg'ing up a dual in-tank hanger and dealing with some slight warpage and doing something simimlar for the two 12 gauge wires that power the pumps, ultra-grey was my DSM-savior

I know that ultra grey is oil resistant, but would there be any ill effects if it was exposed to fuel for prolonged periods of time?

Not in my experience, I've used the ultra-grey on several fuel related items from old leaky carbs and petcoks on bikes to the fuel tank on m car (which has seen both e85 and pump gas) and it's never shown any signs of breaking down.. but ultra grey is the only one that's held up this well for me under fuel exposure

seal around wires with jb weld. This is how full blown does it with their dual walbro kit

Tried that. It doesn't "retain" the wire, so it eventually comes loose from handling it.

My buddy also used the full blown kit in his car, and always had problems with fuel leaking out around the wiring. Seams like they would come up with a better solution, being that there's actually products for this type of thing.
