Ok im having a problem,I bought another eclipse(92GST),It wouldent start so I traced the problem down to the fuel pump.So i dropped the fuel tank and the tank was full of rust and the fuel pump was rusted to the tank.So now I want to put a fuel cell in because its going to be full drag anyway, does any body know how to install one and anyone know what fuel line can be removed. If there is any kits on the market let me know,,,,,thanks

First off I'm going to let you know it is going to get very expensive. What are your goals with this car? 400hp? 500hp? 12 sec? 10's? This is going to determine what fuel pump and fuel lines you'll want to run. You are not going to want to run your stock fuel lines. Definately get some ss -an lines. I would suggest going at least -8an if you plan on an all out drag racer. If your going for drag racing only I would suggest a 3-5 gallon fuel cell. Probably 5 just incase you want to take it on the road (3 gallons isn't going to get you anywhere on the road) The smaller it is the easier it is probably going to be to mount and the lighter it is going to be. Once you cut out the floor where your old fuel tank used to be you need to weld some 1" square steel tubing to mount your fuel cell too. If your cell doesn't have mounting flanges then you'll need .125 x 1" straps top and bottom bolted or welded to the frame in the trunk. If any part of the cell is above the floor in the back you're going to need to build yourself a sheetmetal firewall blocking it off from where you are sitting. Here is an example of what I am talking about

You don't need anything quite that elaborate just as long as it blocks you off from the cell in case of an explosion. Now that you've got the cell bolted in you need a fuel pump. For all out drag racing I would suggest an external fuel pump. I like Aeromotive fuel pumps myself for external, if your totally going all out check out Weldon. Don't forget a good fuel filter along the way also. If you need anymore help just ask :thumb:
