Why exactly do you want to use a fuel cell then? Good luck with that, let us know how it works out for you.

Why do you want to use a fuel cell? Save weight? Replace a rusty stock tank? Run bigger fuel lines/external pump?

Most people run a small fuel cell for weight savings and know how much fuel they need to get through the burnout (non AWD guys), down the 1/4, and back to the pits.

If you're looking to run bigger lines, try sumping the stock tank. It's cheaper and easier. :thumb:

i want to use a fuel cell because my tank is rusted i have my battery relocated to the rear and i do only want to use a 8-10 gallon tank enough to get me to the local track get some race fuel and get me home..

not to mention larger fuel lines and eaiser to work on. im going ot have the interrior gutted ect.. plus ya know rice factor.. jk this car is going to be all track the conversion will happen some time this spring so i can hit the track hard when the season opens.

what are the bennifets of a sump setup over a cell?

I'm curious, what does one of the atl cells run?

The ATL cells have an internal bladder, does the NHRA exempt you from having a firewall to block off the passenger compartment.

I talked to my machinist about sumping my stock fuel tank. He would not touch the job unless I purchased a new tank. I do not know if he was just being a pain, but he had a problem with welding on a used gas tank.
