Well I went to put in my 255hp pump. Low and behold, my sending unit is rusty as hell, and most of the bolts broke that hold it on. I could re use the tank, but I would need a new sending unit. Plus i would have to drill our the old bolt and put new ones in.

So im thinkin. Why even bother at all? why not just get a fuel cell and be done with it. I checked and they are legal to run on the street as long as they are hooked up probley, and not leaking. My question is. What gallon cell should I get. Im still running the car on the street so i need a have a good size on. I was thinkin about 12 gallon? Do you think that is a bit big maybe? I also need to know if there is any chance of me being able to run the walbro intank pump that i have with the fuel cell. Im pretty sure I cant run it as a inline, because the pump need the gas to cool the pump on the outside?

thanks:thumb:

Check with your local track before you decide to go the route of a fuel cell. I believe there has to be some form of a certified fire wall or something to that effect. I'd bite the bullet and fix whatever you broke, but that's just me.

or do what buschur did and mount the fuel cell in the stock tank place.
