The only benefit to recirculating a bov is that it would make your car run right. It was made to recirculate. Your probly running rich between shifts now. Unless you have a MAF-T and GM MAF now, then it should be running right.
 
The 1g "bov" is actually a compressor bypass valve... it's meant to be recirculated... it is easy to recirculate as you just use that short section of "pipe" coming off the cbv and connect a hose in between that and the properly sized port on your intake snorkel. Your ecu will thank you for the improvement in fuel trims.
