Car runs fine but the light came on a few days ago. The auto stores can only pull obd2

There are a couple ways of doing it:
1) You can get a logger, either buy one for cheap or borrow one, and read the codes
2) Get an analog volt meter and hook it up to the OBD port and read the pulses - similar to Morse Code. If you have a FSM, the pulses are listed in there with the OBD1 codes. I'm not sure which pins you have to put the probes on to get the readout, but I'm sure they are one here somewhere.
