how to identify a 2g exhaust manifold

i was wondering how to tell the diffrence between a 1g exhuast manifold and a 2g manifold. i am about to but a 2g manifold and i do not want to be tricked in to buying a 1g. does it have any distingushing marks?

1g manifolds are flush,while a 2g manifold has a step on the number 1 runner,here's an example http://www.thedsmgraveyard.com/v/vspfiles/photos/categories/143.jpg

The 2G manifilds have a small block piece cast into the drivers side most runner right near the dipstick, which the 1G does not have. The 2G manifold is cast steel and looks much more heavy duty, and less round than the 1G manifold.

Also, the turbo-mani bolt heads closest to the motor are inset on a 2g mani but are above the mani on a 1g (the 2g is "taller"). The webbing between the runners is also much more stout on a 2g. The vfaq also has good side-by-side pictures of the 1g/2g manis.
