How to fill spoiler holes for $5.00

This is how i filled my old spoiler holes for five bucks.

Run to home depot or autozone and get some JB WELD KWIK. ( this is the kind that bonds in like 4 min. ) at home depot i paid 4.97 for a package.

Step 1: Remove Spoiler

Step 2: Mix up some JB weld and apply a lot on the hole( dont make it even because it will just fall through the hole, apply a glob on it)

Step 3: Take some sand paper ( I believe i used 60 or 80 grit) and sand down. wet sanding works too.

Step 4: prime, and paint

Step 5: look sexy

And one more thing, clean the surface with a tar or grease remover. this helps bond the JB weld

not bad! but you shoulda welded a small plate from the underside, like a brace so that the jb could "sit" on it. instead of just be hanging on for dear life over the hole.. but good work

, I dare you to push on the "covered" holes. You might be disapointed that the weld will fall through

haha trust me, i tested them, they filled the hole and dried then i added a little more to make it flat. then just sanded. I just painted it it looks amazing like there was never even a spoiler

Just take that antenna off and it will look 100X more cleaner!

I did this to my car.
I doubt theres any one who can puch in the j.b weld.
That stuff is tough.
Ive herd some amazing storys of that stuff.

thank you TJCTalon let them pay $800 for someone to do it! haha and yeah my radio on my radio doesnt even work but everything else does. im getting a new one. wont removing the antenna affect sound? or the new radio?

JB Weld > Bondo
but, i still would have put some metal on the underside for the reassurance.

I just used some crappy autozone paint for a few days because im re painting my car.

and for 95whitegst i didnt fill that one yet. Im trying to figure out the best way because its a big hole. SO im thinking bondo and put something on to support it i have no clue. suggestions anyone?

i just do not understand why. 1... would you knock the people that do it the RIGHT way?2. if you are getting the car painted, would you just rig it? just to say it could be done? i have removed the stock 95-96 wings on about 20 of these cars and replaced it with the high rise wing. if you do not tap the metal down in those spots (as to form a pocket), then it will eventually crack and just fall out.
please post more pics of it when you get the car painted, cause if you didn't know that you have to do that step, then i am SURE that you have no clue what "feather-edging"is either. that in return, will make the final paintjob flawwed in those spots. have you ever seen a car that had body work done, and none of it being feather-edged? it looks horrible

well, the best way to do it is to weld a peice of metal in and then skim-coat it with filler, and you would be good to go. or you could use the bottom of a pringles can, and just jb weld it on
