How to clean back seats.

Is there any way I can get these stains out of my back seats? I know for sure that the stains are from rain water leaking into the back because when it rains, the water leaks into there when your open it. i tried using Resolve on it yesterday and it got most of the stain out but instead if making the seat look better, the stains spreaded! Is there something I can buy at walmart or autozone that will get these stupid stains out? And how would I go about not completely drenching the seats.

depending on how often the seats have gotten wet from the leak it could be a mixture of dirt, mold, staining, etc. a good thing to try would be to remove the back seats. a very easy task that is like a 5 minute job and then get a bissell steam cleaner with a cleaning solution of oxi clean and color safe laundry detergent. the bissle cleaner concentrate works good also

it may take several treatments but that usually will remove most interior staining from water damage. I have used this in my detailing business with good success.

I used leather cleaner for mine and it worked okay. For carpet, they sell those cans with the brush on top. Got rid of a lot but the car was so old I just ended up replacing the carpet instead.

With water you get mold pull the seats and you a mixture of vinegar or baking soda and water. If you Google baking soda and water for cleaning carpets it gives step by step. It actually eliminates odor and coloration

My rear seats in my car were stained bad. I removed them and steam cleaned them I scrubbed the heck out of them with some dishsoap and water and sucked it all up. Almost all of it came out. Best way to clean interior in my opinion (I did the front seats and carpet as well with the same results)

Simple Green straight out of the jug-not diluted-is the best stuff for any cleaning .. and a wet/dry vacuum.

I'd take the seat out, scrub in the Simple Green to a nice froth, then take my power washer, but the spray on a fan setting and you oughta see what comes out of a back seat that hasn't been cleaned for awhile..

..I also did this to my front seats as well - took them out and did the above cleaning procedure

And, while it's a hot summer, this does help in getting things dry quicker.

I assume that you have cloth seats. I have used some VERY watered down purple power or "Awsome" and sprayed a good bit on and around the stain. Dont be shy with it. Scrub it, then use a shop vacc or something of that nature to remove some of the liquid, and let it dry. seats are clean and smell alot better than rainwater and cloth.

For cloth> Simple green, vinegar/baking soda, there's also a product called "citro ppe" that firefighters use to clean the soot out of their gear, stuff works awesome, but its a lil pricy. That should get any of the water stains out.

Spot shot carpet cleaner from wal-mart is all you need. I have used it on every car that I have bought. That is also what got my interior so clean. It will take shit out of your seats that you didn't even know was in there. I bought a Talon from a friend and it looked like he lived out of that car. The carpets were matted down with gunk. After using spot shot, it looked almost new again. When I was vacuuming it out of the seats, it looked like it was sucking straight coffee out of the seat. It's $2-$3 a can.

spot shot is good stuff. Theres this armor all foam stuff that works really good too.

i tried oxi clean on mine and got most of it out but still had faded stains. I ended up removing the whole carpet and spray painting the carpet grey again. Made the carpet look new and the paint doesnt rub off by footwear or anything!
