I obviously need to lower my car but was wondering what kind of springs you guys run and think are the best. How much should I lower my car? I was thinking about 1.2"-1.5" since I don't want the car too low but I still want to lose the masive gap.

Here's how it looks now

Thanks for the help. But I wonder how the ride would be without any aftermarket shocks since I don't have any money to get both.
Will the ride quality be affected dramatically?

I wouldn't lower your car without using aftermarket dampers. Your stock units will be on the bumpstops alot even with a small drop. My advice is wait until you can do it well, don't half ass it, especially if you care about ride quality and handling.

By dampers do you mean shocks? I"m thinking about Tokica Illuminas and Pro-Kit on my GST

That's why you cut the bumpstops for increased travel. When I still had stock shocks on a 2" drop it never bottomed out.

To the original poster. I also think you should get some nice aftermarket shocks, I personally have Illuminas and love them, but if you can't afford both at once, I wouldn't sweat it. As long as you install everything properly, you shouldn't have a problem with a 1.2" drop. It will be a little more stiff thanks to the increased spring rate, but shouldn't be too bad.
