How much is too much for a Head gasket replacement?

I was going to do a Head Gasket swap for my buddy but I think I would be taking on too much. How much should he expect to pay at a shop to get it done? He already has a new Headgasket and ARP studs.. On a side note anyone in Michigan that has done this want to make some money and do it for me? THanks

its actually really easy. just grab some tools and do it. you own a dsm!! there like kids, your required almost by law to do maintence to them.

Hey, I live in East Lansing, sorry I wouldn't be much help to you with the head gasket job, but I was wondering if you know of any good shops in the area. I have some work I need to have done, but don't have the time or space to do it at my apartment, and I just got my car down here this year.

Well if I were to do a hg I would do more then that:

Tbelt - tensioner,water pump

But thats his choice but I would recomend that since the belt is off Y not?
