i have a 6 bolt with the following mods :

eagle rods
ross pistons
stock crank
stock block
federal mogul main bearing

crank hp i beleive. its rough getitn to 600hp dude. even gettin to 450whp is rough. work on a setup and figure otu before you go tryin to break 500hp. if you drive it everyday i wouldnt make to much more then 450hp or 500hp.

what did you have in mind for your setup. a 50 trim will make 450whp nicely, and its a good street strip turbo. 57 trim makes 545hp and so on and so on.

what did you have in mind for your setup? other then the shortblock you described

Stock block's 6 and 7bolts I've seen make around 550whp. Throw in a rod/piston combo, don't worry about the ratings. Unless you're running a big turbo and spray, you won't be testing their limits. And a 50 trim is not big.

People have been making over 600 whp of eagle rods with no problems. Your engine will be fine.

well... im not really looking to have a daily driver ... i was thinking of pushing this 6 bolt combo to maximum limit ..... my car is a guted track car with a full cage so its not like im gonna drive it much on the street anyways ..... also a 50trim is not going to be big enough for what im looking to do ... i was thinking maybe Br580 or more ... :)

What rear end are you running? :) Because if your still on the 3-bolt running 450hp, your screwed.

eagle rods have done WELL over 600whp. Theyve done 700+hp. Now you just need all of the other goodies to take advantage of supporting mods for that kind of power. Built tranny, 4bolt rear etc =P

i'm making a ton of power on my STOCK 6-bolt with no problems! in my opinion it's not the motor that's in question.......it's the engine management! ;)
