How much am I looking at to get my reverse gear fixed?? SO probably a basic rebuild on my tranny, I will be taking the tranny off and putting it back on my self, so how much should I be looking to be paying to get it rebuilt, or atleast reverse fixed. Its a FWD tranny btw off a 1990 tsi.

i got my full tranny rebuilt and it cost me 1000$ total. its alot. but if your gonna do that just have a race built one i think its the same on shep racing or something... because there gonna charge you just to pull your tranny... and you mine as well get it all at once.. it sucks... i hate the tranny

I think im just gonna buy a used tranny.

the way i thought about it. was they had a tranny at a junk yard and wanted to sell it for 600 dollars and then wanted to install it for 300 dollars an d i have no idea what is wrong with the tranny you know.. so i figured for an extra 100 dollars i can have mine rebuilt.

Yea I can drop the tranny myself and install a new one myself, I found few for pretty cheap in the classifies.
