Hey, I was wondering how much I should be able to pick up a 2G GSX with a blown engine for? I do want it to be in decent condition and have a good tranny though. Thanks

i pick up a 2g eagle talon for $2000 with a blown engine. Car is in great shape otherwise. I ended up putting a 6 bolt block in it and am now just about complete with the swap. Got alot of mods...should be in the 11's. $2000 is cheap.....with a blown engine normal price is probaly around 4 grand or so....good luck man. And if you have any questions PM me, i'd be glad to answer.

it really depends on what the car is a a 95 talon awd thats beat up and has 200k miles on it and needs a whole new motor could sell for $1000. or i just payed over 6k for a 99 gst with 29k that needs a head, turbo, Injectors, and a lot of other little parts.

Theres a wide range of what they are worth. and blown motor is kinda a wide term to. is the block and head shot? or is it just worn out and needs a rebuild kit?

I don't care if the block and head are shot. The pipe dream/plan is to sell my car and buy a 2g GSX and swap in a 4g64 from slowboy or Bushur. :D I'm just trying to find out what they would go for. It would probally be a 95-97.

i got my 95 Tsi for $2000. With only 87,000 miles on the chassi. And no its not a beat to shit AWD. So dont put down just becuase you paid over $6000 on yours. Anyway back to the post....look around man. If you find a Tsi with a completly shot motor, i wouldnt pay more than about $3500 if the car doesnt have a shit load of miles. If you find one that just need some work, i wouldnt pay more than about $5000, depending on how bad it is and how many miles. Just keep a look out, those deals with come around sometime. Just be patient, that what i had to do and it paid off in the end. And as for Sloe boy racing. Good guys over there. I got a built 6 bolt from them capable of 600whp. There nice guys, they get my recomedation. Good luck.
