$5600 for my so not worth it 91 tsi awd, I could have had a nice mkIII 1jz supra with the more than 10k I have into my car(which is still pretty well stock) I think I am up at 12k with the purchase of the car and repairs/mods. A lot of fun though, just wish a gotten a better awd that wasn't bastardized before me.

the last one i picked up for 3k and bought a new wastegate and sold it for 4k, i don't know why i kept mine, guess there's too much to lose selling it for anything less than i paid oh well i learned the ditching game quickly after that and have made some money from it so it was a good lesson.

2g's from what I have been seeing are going for 10-17k here in BC!

EDIT: 277k on the ODO: been like that for 2 years now, the speedo quit on me shortly after I bought it(seized and snapped) I am more than defiantly over 283k now.

The Bads: 190k ODO, Locked up Transfer case~~ Drove it for 1.5 days after T-case fix, water cooled oil cooler got a pin hole and made mud of my coolant, then blew the head gasket.... Boy what a fun day that was.... Been in the shop ever since

$2060 For my first 95 AWD TSi Shell in spring '07. Ended up putting about $1200 into it and selling it for what I had into it to a friend.

$735 For my 2nd and current DSM in winter '08. A 96 TSi with no trans, driver's side axle, exhaust, turbo, exhaust manifold and a blown motor. So far have $100 into getting a trans and working on rebuilding the motor.

Oh dear lord that is a lot of cash. Granted it was only a 4 year old car at the time but still.

I paid $700 for my first one (purple 1990 TSI AWD) with a blown head gasket, b16g, and a couple other goodies. I got the second one (black 1991 TSI AWD) from a friend half torn apart and not running for $600. The third (1991 TSI AWD) was pretty much a shell with a few useful stock pieces and a motor with about 16k on the rebuild, got that one for $400. The black one and blue one are both in the junk yard, the purple one is sitting in a garage back home ready for me to turn key this spring .

my first was 250$ as a nt 93 eclipse gs with a fart can on it. took about 1250 to drop in a 91 laser turbo engine in everything and didnt have to pay for the parts just the swap. everything on the engine was replaced (water pump, oil pump, timing belt , ALL fluids, etc.) and now getting a turbo cyclone engine with a spare 6 bolt longblock cause a long story with the laser engine. oh and I'm getting the cyclone 6 bolt long block and the normal 6 bolt longblock both working for 1000. both turbo engines. Need to clear out the old garage.

4400 last february for my 1997 GSX. It had a stock rebuilt 7 bolt with 10xxx miles on engine and just over 100K on chassis, a big 16G, injen intake and a new Apexi exhaust. Now the car has been sitting for about 5 monthes and i'm putting a six bolt that i built with meth in it. So much for getting a good deal on a fast little awd turbo car. Started out with good intentions, but then said, well i got it for a good deal so i will put a little money in it. Their is no such thing as a little money.

$900 for 91 eclipse gsx with no motor in it but it came with many parts and two blocks an two heads. One motor spun a balance shaft bearing an the other bent all of the exhaust vavles and 3 intake valves. I bought another jdm swap and ruined it. So now Im rebuilding it. put about 5,000 or more into it. Little more money to go and Im done. It has 134,000 miles on the shell no rust.
I have a friend that paid 500 for a 92 talon with a spun rod bearing.

I paid $1500 on 11/07. They were originally asking 2k but talked them down because clutch felt really wierd. But it was just a bad master cylinder.

paid 1800 for 96 awd w/ greddy fMIC and piping, Built 7 bolt, act clutch/flywheel. greddy exahast. Car has 100k and not a dent and perfect interior. Only thing the car needed was the clutch adjusted

My first dsm I got until it met its untimely demise I got for $1800. An eclipse GSX that was very well maintained. I still have it for parts for my current car talon TSi both 1991. I bought my Talon for $1000 with a bad engine and a second engine and misc parts with and engine stand. Another $3000 for a complete rebuild...ran for 1000 miles spun rod bearing. $1000 dollars later and my GSX ripped apart for more parts...car is still running beautifully!

So $6800 for 2 1991 1g turbo cars...1 for parts...1 for driving! and I still have a lot more to go... *sigh*

Paid $350.00 bucks for a 1994 Eclipse GS from a towing yard. Car was unclaimed and became the property of the towing yard owner, so with the hook up of my buddy who works there, the yard applied for the title and sold it to me. But it had a wrecked rear suspension. Other than that, the car is in pristine condition! But they gave me for free a donor eclipse to take the parts for the fix. Plus they delivered and picked up the donor car for free!!! Then I dropped $2,500.00 into it for turbo time WHOO!!!!

I payed $600 buck for my 1992 laser awd 5spd with 165000 mile on it. It ran perfict. Also the woman that I bought it from was selling to of them at the time the other one was for sale for $400 bucks with a bad ECU. Im so made because i didnt buy the other one in time i purchased some were in north NJ. If anyone knows who bought the other one let me know i would like to know if its still running. My motor blow up about 30,000 miles later and now i just swapped JDM motor a few months back and payed about $1500 bucks not including the oil cooler and lines i put on there.

I love my DSM's Len!!!!!

Also i forgot to add the wastgate was not hooked up when i bought it. So the car wasnt boosten for who know how long

I paid $10,999 in '99 for my '96 eagle Talon TSI AWD. Bone stock with 32k on it. White with black top and white swirlies! I think I have put over 11k into since I bought it for upgrades and broken parts!
