Have been running 28-30psi and seeing 42lbs/min. turbo will flow 52 in BEP housing, how much more psi am I looking at to hit the max. Just wondering because I am getting ready to buy fuel and my 1000s are maxed.

Is this the 7-blade or 8-blade HX35?

Your airflow calibration must be off or something- an Evo III 16G would be near 42lb/min at your boost levels. I would think the 8-blade HX35 should be around 48-50lb/min at 30psi, and the 7-blade around 53-55lb/min at the same boost level depending on the turbine housing.

I am just going off of what link logged. Does anyone know the exact of within few psi of the 52lbs min. Ive been thinking about going 8 blade hx40 too. But not if I havent maxed the 8 blade hx35 yet.

So far I have run 35psi on my 7 blade HX35 still making more power. Actually going from 30psi up to 35psi it really woke up, felt so much better. I dont have any airflow numbers between the two but made 494/466 on a mustang dyno at 35psi.

If the motor can handle 35psi I'd try it out. I'm at 98% IDC on 1200's with E85 on 35psi. Get some 1600's.

Turbos don't really max out at a certain boost number. Boost is relative and arbitrary.

IF you're seeing a real 40lb/min at 30psi, then you have a flow problem AROUND your turbo if it flows 52lb/min ( which the 8blade hx35 does). You don't even have a cam upgrade. You can't expect your motor to flow well with stock bump sticks and manifolds. Evo3 16g guys need more to max out their turbos.

Opps i forgot to update, i have fp2s in now. :p

Shame on me, I can't read a compressor map so finding where the 8 blade efficiency range is a mystery to me.

With PTE1000s which I guess flow like 950s according to DSMlink wiki I am at 95% idc at 30psi with only a -6 filter to rail feed line and single 255 pump on e85.
