How long did it take you guys to recieve your bottom end kit from howell. I orderd about 2 weeks ago i know it says 3 to 6 weeks but im just curious im so excited for this build. I have to beat my buddies SR20

got my long rod bottom end kit in 4 weeks or so. you can call them and check, they were pretty good with customer service when i was going through this stage

my bottom end kit took about 3 weeks to arrive, top end kit however took almost 2.5 months. Said they couldnt get my cams in stock. anyways just make sure they have all the parts in stock when you order, if they do should take about 3 weeks, if not then your guess is as good as mine.

So im going on 4 weeks now and i gave them a call i know its not their fault because they have to wait for JE to custom make the pistons. But they advised me I will have the pistons next weekend. So im excited to get my car done should be done in about a month tops!!! After this build the only thing next is titanium valve springs and 600 horse!

haha. howell has good prices, but their lead time is a joke.

when my cousins GS took a shit, we ordered the full kit(top and bottom end, forged pistons/rods, the whole shibbang), in the beginning of february. they had the kit together and said it shipped in may. we got it by the end of june, and it was missing a couple items, which i forget what it was, i think it was the valve springs and main bearings. took them another month and a half to get those out to me. luckily for my cousin, he had alternate transportation.

im not saying to not do business with them, im just saying dont expect the full kit within a month, or even a couple, since it does take time for their suppliers to send all the parts, and then for howell to stick everything together in one box, then to ship it out.

It seems like they would have gotten plenty of complaints by now about how their shipping is so bad, I wonder why they haven't fixed it. Or if they've even made an attempt at doing so.

because they don't need to...people keep buying from them LOL

that sound on about the same track as most of the stories I've heard about them... "we're waiting for this" and then 4 months later it comes. Thats just what I have heard though about big orders from them, I have never had a problem with them but I have only bought small stuff.
