How does tire selection affect clutch?

I know that smaller tires will burn out/ spin easier than bigger tires.
Is spinning tires a lot particularly bad for the clutch ( and I dont me purposeful burnouts )
I mean like say your at the track and your cars making moderate and high horsepower and torque, and it spins through the gears or chirps the tires as you change gears ( namely 1st and 2nd) is this bad for the clutch, and I know when I put bigger tires it
was a lot harder to chirp the tires through gears, just curious does this have anything
to do with clutch longevity and what not.
( I know clutch technique has a lot to do with it, but Im basically just wondering how do your tire selection affect clutching )

Actually spinning tires isn't that damaging to your clutch drivetrain compared to really sticky tires.

When your tires don't have good traction, they lose grip easier and start to spin, and at that point it doesn't take very much torque (power applied to the ground) to keep the wheels spinning.

On the other hand if you had sticky tires with good traction then you have more power applied to the ground. The drivetrain undergoes a lot of stress because of the tires are no longer giving way.

Tire design/material/quality will have a lot more effect on grip than size (within reason anyway).

Spinning tires in and of itself is not hard on your clutch. The type of driving and power it takes to get to that point is what can be damaging.

i suppose so, yea i figured that much, and the tires ( i think there kumo) that ive recently had on my car didnt spin out as much in any condition ( except for when its wet )
so I figured it was more stress in racing condition also, like i know slicks put a lot more stress on your drivetrain so i was wondering who just regular tire packages would... But thanks for the info,
While im on the subject im curious of the lsd systems.
Does anyone know how a lsd is in relation to tranny and clutch durability since it has to catch the slipping tires and what not, and how does it work exactly.
